IoT4H2O® devices with NB IoT radio
Description
NB IoT (= Narrow Band Internet of Things) is a radio standard for the regular transmission of small amounts of data by radio, which the major telecom providers have agreed on.
NB IoT radio is characterized by very low power consumption and particularly high penetration of obstacles. The range is high and can be up to 50 km (depending on the terrain). As NB IoT radio traffic is also handled via the transmission and reception masts of the existing cell phone network, transmission and reception problems hardly ever occur in practice.
NB IoT data collection devices therefore do not require their own network infrastructure but do need a special SIM card. The SIM card incurs costs, but these are significantly lower than the costs of conventional mobile telephony.
NB IoT data radio uses the existing reception and transmission mast infrastructure of conventional mobile radio, which ensures optimum network coverage. The data received via NB IoT radio is transferred from the mobile radio transmission masts to the internet, where it is made accessible to the user.
IoT4H2O® with NB IoT is available in three versions:
IoT-NB-II:
IoT4H2O base unit IP67, NB IoT connectivity, 6 ports for sensors with resistance signal and 3 ports for sensors with volt-signal
IoT-NB-II-SDI
IoT4H2O base unit IP67, NB IoT connectivity, 1 port for Sensors with SDI-12 Signal
Act-NB
Act4H2O base unit IP67, NB IoT connectivity, 2 ports for sensors with impulse signal, one output for solenoid and one output for latching solenoid electro-valves
