nMETOS Frost warning device
Description
nMetos Frost is a preconfigured IoT device based on LPWAN connectivity (NBIoT/CatM1) that transmits the measurements from the installed sensors (wet and dry temperature) from the installation site to the FieldClimate platform via the mobile network. Data access is provided via the FieldClimate web platform or the FieldClimate mobile app for Android/iOS mobile devices.
A warning message can be set up in FieldClimate: A notification can be generated via email or for the FieldClimate mobile app. If a warning or frost event is imminent, an alarm is reported in the mobile app via text and sound and sent to an email address stored in FieldClimate.
It is not possible to add additional sensors. The device is powered by two batteries. A NB-IoT SIM card for data transmission via the mobile network within Europe is included in the price.
Transmission intervals (=Communication intervals) vary from hourly to every 5 minutes (at temperatures around freezing point). They are fixed in the device and could not be changed.
